Accessibility
This site is built to be usable by as many people as possible, and feedback is genuinely welcome.
The commitment
Harbor Counseling is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. The site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
In practice that means readable color contrast, including on text over photographs, and pages that still work when you zoom in or increase text spacing, without sideways scrolling or cut-off text. You can use the whole site with a keyboard: there is a skip link to the main content, the focus indicator is visible and is not hidden behind the header, and the menus open, close with Escape, and keep your place. Images have alternative text, pages use proper headings, links in text are underlined, and contact form errors are named next to the field they belong to.
The site also respects the reduced motion setting in your operating system, so animation is minimized if you have asked for that.
Ongoing work
Where it may fall short
Accessibility is not a one-time task. Some third-party components, such as the external client booking portal, the Google map on the contact page, and embedded YouTube videos, are outside the practice's direct control and may not meet the same standard.
Known gaps: some links, including the booking links, open in a new tab without saying so, and the contact form needs JavaScript to send. If the form does not work for you, calling, texting, or emailing reaches the same place.

If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site, that is worth knowing about, and it will be treated as a real problem rather than a nice-to-have.
