In Person & Online

Online Therapy Across PSYPACT States

Secure virtual sessions, so the right specialist is never limited by your zip code.

Specialists are not evenly distributed

There are not many psychologists who specialize in treating athletes with eating disorders. If you live somewhere that does not have one, that has historically meant settling for a generalist, driving a very long way, or going without.

I am authorized to practice telehealth through PSYPACT, an interstate agreement that lets licensed psychologists work with clients located in participating states. In practice it means you can work with a specialist from wherever you happen to be.

That matters most for the people this practice is built around. An athlete in a small town, a college student who moves twice a year, and someone in recovery who just relocated for work all have the same problem, and it is a geography problem rather than a clinical one.

Florida first

Where you are changes your options

If you are in Florida

Florida clients have the most options. You can be seen in person at the Jacksonville office, entirely by telehealth, or in a mix of the two depending on your season, your travel, and your schedule.

Florida is also the only state where I am credentialed with Aetna, through Headway. That makes it the one place insurance may cover sessions directly.

If you are elsewhere

Sessions are self-pay, with the option of a superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

You must be physically located in a participating PSYPACT state at the time of the session, not simply a resident of one. That distinction matters if you travel for competition.

Wherever you are

Distance stops being the deciding factor

Specialised care is thin on the ground almost everywhere. Telehealth means the question becomes whether I am the right psychologist for you, not whether I am the closest one.

Who telehealth suits

It works especially well for

  • Athletes in season

Travel, competition weekends, and training blocks make a fixed weekly appointment in a fixed location almost impossible. Online keeps continuity through the busiest part of the year.

  • College students

Moving between home and campus usually means dropping a therapist twice a year. It does not have to, as long as both states participate.

  • People without a local specialist

Eating disorder care and sport psychology are thin on the ground outside major cities. Distance should not decide the quality of your treatment.
