Speaking & Workshops
Talks and learning series for teams, coaches, trainers, and parents on eating disorders in sport and athlete mental health.
One hour a week is not enough
When I work with athletes in therapy, I get one hour a week with them. Coaches, trainers, and parents are with those same athletes for hours a day, several days a week.
That is why I believe getting good information about eating disorders in sport to the adults around an athlete is the single most effective way to increase awareness and catch things early. Prevention lives in the environment, not in the therapy room.
Sport psychology is not a one-stop shop. No one gets hired for an afternoon and leaves a team healed or instantly performing better; what actually changes things is a culture shift and continued work.
I present in person or virtually depending on what you need, and I tailor the material to the group rather than delivering the same deck to a room of parents and a room of coaches.
Formats
How this usually works
Parent awareness and intervention
My primary specialty. What to look for, what to say, what not to say, and when to act. Built for parents who are worried and do not want to make it worse.
Coach and trainer learning series
A multi-part series helping staff recognize disordered eating on their team and respond well when they find it, including the language that helps and the language that harms.
Team and athlete talks
Sessions delivered directly to athletes on fueling, pressure, perfectionism, and mental performance, pitched to the age group in the room.

Practical questions
Yes. Alongside smaller workshops I take keynote and breakout sessions, and mental health keynote speaker work for athletic departments, conferences, and corporate groups is a regular part of the practice. The talk gets built for the room rather than pulled off a shelf.
